Moon Sutras uses Vedic astrology and the Lahiri sidereal zodiac, which follows the position of the stars. Western astrology generally uses the tropical zodiac, which is anchored to the March equinox. Because of the precession of the equinoxes, the two zodiacs have gradually moved apart and are now roughly 24 degrees apart.

That difference is large enough to move the Moon into the previous sign in many birth charts. So you may know yourself as a Scorpio Moon in Western astrology but calculate as a Libra Moon in Vedic astrology.
